Welding Techniques

Engineering Project Services provide specialised welding services to integrators of process equipment, and suppliers and users of specialist process lines in the food and semiconductor manufacturing industries.
MIG and TIG Welding
In our workshops we use both MIG (Metal - Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten - Inert Gas) welding. Engineering Project Services mainly use MIG for welding mild steel fabrications
Precision TIG Welding
TIG (Tungsten - Inert Gas) welding is the starting technology for all our precision welding work.
Our micro welding services (micro tig welding) allow thinner materials to be joined with narrower welds than other techniques. With the optional use of our welding lathe, micro tig welding is ideal for smaller components as less heat gets into the components so there is less risk of damage and distortion. And micro tig welding is much less expensive than laser welding.
Our orbital welding services (orbital tig welding) are used on the thin-walled tubes and pipes particularly found in the process plant developed by our major customers. Bespoke programming of our CNC (computer numerically controlled) equipment enables a clean interior to the welded pipe, giving uninterrupted process flow, as well as maintaining the integrity of the specialist raw material.
On-Site Welding
Our on-site and fabrication work is mainly carried out using electric arc welding.
